Bonus: Outstanding performance from the real estate developer, and it always warms my heart to see Cruz absolutely destroyed.

This. Trump is a joke, but Cruz is truly a loathsome human being. Hopefully this takes him down a notch.

I will be way more impressed if Bernie preforms well in a state with any number of minorities.

Super surprised by Kasich though.

Well he should definitely get the minority vote if anyone is paying attention to his policies. Clinton’s obsession with “vote for me because I am a woman” seems to be pushing both minorities and women to Bernie.

At least among African Americans and Hispanics Clinton is absolutely destroying in minority voters. And statistically speaking the average voter for Sanders is white, male, and very liberal. Which made Iowa and N.H. #2 and #3 for easiest states for Sanders to win.

I actually saw graph this trying to find some numbers from the Washington Post.

Kinja'd!!!

That gap is massive, and what will hurt him come states in the west and south.

And on the women front, Clinton is way overplaying the value of simply being a women. And because of that it could very easily come off as condescending, I understand she is trying to channel the same power of those that feel underrepresented that Obama got back in 2008, but he didnt get by going around and saying “I’m Black.” Saw an article early saying that telling women to vote for Clinton simply because she is one undermines decades of feminist progress. Which I am inclined to believe as true.

That generation of smart weighs 1,600 lb. I also assume it’s sitting on a platform of some kind. In which case, it should be perfectly safe so long as it’s secured underneath.

See, this is why physics is important. Since F = ma, you can model the force in the negative x direction by assuming constant mass (Smart Car +truck) and varying acceleration corresponding to acceleration of the truck+smart car system. (assuming nonlinear acceleration). This will give you an exponential fuction for the force of the system, which you then take the first and second derivatives of, and then use to find the maximum value of the force (1st and 2nd derivative tests). Then, we need to find the opposing force in the positive x direction, which is given by F = (coefficient of static friction)(normal force). Now, the coefficient of static fricton between the rubber tires, and the metal truck bed must be experimentally determined. However, we can calculate the normal force using Newton’s 3rd law of motion, stating that the force of gravity (F = mg) of the smart car/truck must be opposed by a force of equal magnitude in the opposite direction (no longitudinal movement assumed). Thus, F(g) = mg = F(n). Given Fn and the coefficient, we then determine the frictional force in the positive x direction. If this static frictional force equals or exceeds the maximum force due to acceleration in the negative x direction, then this endeavour would be considered safe. If the converse is true, however, you’d be in danger of losing a smart car.

Or, ya know, just go “hold my beer and watch this.”

You are correct! And the latter half of your graphs show what I’m talking about. People are beginning to do their research...And while Hillary has a solid history of civil rights, it’s pretty clear that for this election, it’s all about the money. Heck, even as your graphs show, Bernie is even gaining some of the white vote.

And you’re also right, by her implying that women should vote for her simply because she’s a woman? That entirely undermines decades of feminism and even her own civil rights activism of the past. Gender is not a qualifying factor for running the government.

Then there are other things, like it taking her all the way to 2013 to start caring about the LBGT community. And hopefully, as more and more people realize that she is not as progressive as she says, they’ll move to Bernie.

I guess the speed at the change is what makes me skeptical. Although Bernie has been able to make some solid gains throughout the last few months, there is still a 40% gap. And with super Tuesday coming up very fast I’m not sure the amount of gains that he will amount to much, but then again I’ve been known to have been wrong before.

What I really think Bernie has done is engage the youth voter to an extent that has shown value in that demographic. It has also shown that younger Democrat voters are very interested in a much more liberal candidate to represent their party and they are willing to work for that. Plus it has engaged that younger generation in the political process to the point where shows that with the right amount of effort and planning you can actually make an impact.

The democrats have seen success in the last handful of election cycles with more centrist liberals. Obama, Clinton(s), even Al Gore to an extent. The general success of Sanders may force them to be a bit more aggressive with their progressive policies. Which may be an issue since I dont see much of congress changing until some major redistricting occurs after the 2020 census, but thats for another day.

Ooooh you sure know your stuff!! Only time will tell. Personally, I am okay with Hillary. She is certainly an establishment candidate who pretty much wants to keep things pretty much just the way they are. I mean, I’d prefer Bernie to win, but honestly, Hillary is better than any of the other choices, so I’m okay with that.

Also interestingly enough, Bernie does have the support of gun owning Democrats. Hillary kinda does want to take everyone’s guns, while Bernie is pretty lax about it.

Haha, well thanks for that. I’m just a college kid that bother to read a decent amount.

Yeah, I’m fine with either of the dem candidates, as long as they beat the Republicans which is looking more and more like Trump or Cruz. Which would be very, very bad...

And I’m not surprised about the gun thing. Coming from a state like Vermont where guns actually get used for a purpose you learn to compromise after a while.

1. I don’t think anybody ever doubted Sanders would take NH. He’s semi-local after all.

2. I’m genuinely amused that O’Malley got .3%, since he dropped out and all.

3. The republican results are interesting. Kasich is in second place which could make him relevant in the race again, and Bush is doing better than he has so far. Also, I’m amused how many names are on that list that I’ve never even remotely heard of.

4. No points for Vermin Supreme!?

As soon as she gets done to her what Bill did to his Intern. Just to see how long it would take before she would do it to get elected.
